Can I speak with the person handling my pet before travel?
Absolutely.
Before your pet travels, you’ll know who is handling the journey and have the opportunity to speak with them directly. We encourage families to ask questions, discuss concerns, and feel completely comfortable before travel day arrives.
The same person you meet before the trip remains responsible for your pet from departure through arrival.
Can my pet travel in the cabin?
Most cats and many small dogs can travel in the cabin if they meet airline size and carrier requirements.
We’ll review your pet’s size, route, airline options, and travel goals to determine whether in-cabin travel is the best option. If another solution would be safer or more practical, we’ll discuss those options with you as well.
Do you help with anxious or first-time flyers?
Yes.
Many of the pets we help are flying for the first time or have a history of travel anxiety. Our team has extensive experience helping nervous cats, sensitive dogs, and pets adjusting to major life changes.
We provide guidance on carrier training, travel preparation, airport expectations, and discussing anxiety-management options with your veterinarian when appropriate.
Can pickup and delivery be included?
In many cases, yes.
Depending on your location and travel needs, we can often arrange home pickup, airport drop-off, airport pickup, or delivery services as part of your travel plan. We’ll discuss available options during your consultation.
How do updates and communication work during travel?
Communication is one of the things families appreciate most about working with Cabin Companions.
You’ll receive regular updates throughout the journey, including departure, layover, and arrival updates when applicable. Many families also appreciate our live AirTag tracking, which allows them to follow their pet’s progress in real time.

Most domestic journeys fall between approximately $2,500 and $4,500 per traveler, though pricing can vary depending on the specifics of the trip. We’ll provide a detailed quote after learning more about your pet and travel needs.
