Flying Two Cats to Paris: Mookie & Nou Nou’s Journey From Boston

Mookie and Nou Nou traveled from Boston to Paris with two Cabin Companions on the same flight as their family, receiving personal care through preparation, departure, the international flight, and arrival in France.

When Heidi and her husband relocated from Boston to Paris for work, they wanted Mookie and Nou Nou to make the journey with them. The family would all be aboard the same aircraft, but one important detail made the plan more complex: pets were not permitted in the business-class cabin on their aircraft and itinerary.

Heidi and her husband kept their preferred seats while two members of the Cabin Companions team accompanied Mookie and Nou Nou in an eligible passenger cabin on the same flight. That arrangement allowed the family to travel together while the cats received dedicated care through the airport, international flight, and arrival in France.

Relocating From Boston to Paris

An international move carries enough decisions before a pet’s itinerary is added to the plan. Heidi and her husband were already preparing to relocate for work, and the thought of navigating Mookie and Nou Nou through an unfamiliar international travel process made the move feel even more daunting.

They engaged Cabin Companions for the team’s international pet-travel experience and for a plan that would keep responsibility for the cats clear. The goal was not simply to place Mookie and Nou Nou on an aircraft. It was to prepare them carefully, accompany them personally, and reunite the entire family after arrival in Paris.

Same Flight, Different Cabins

Heidi and her husband were flying in business class, but pets were not permitted in that cabin on the aircraft or itinerary. Mookie and Nou Nou did not travel in business class. Instead, the two cats traveled with two Cabin Companions in a passenger cabin where their reservations and carriers were eligible.

Everyone departed on the same aircraft. Heidi and her husband could retain their preferred premium-cabin arrangements, while the Cabin Companions team took responsibility for the cats’ airport and flight experience.

This type of same-flight arrangement is itinerary-specific. It depends on airline rules, aircraft configuration, available pet reservations, cabin restrictions, carrier eligibility, the number of pets, and route or transit requirements. It is not available on every airline, aircraft, route, or premium-cabin itinerary.

Preparing Mookie and Nou Nou for France

Before travel day, Cabin Companions guided the family through the preparation process. That included the route and airline arrangements, the veterinary timeline, required documentation, carrier planning, and what Heidi and her husband should expect at the airports.

Preparation and travel-day care were distinct parts of the service. The work completed in advance gave the family a clear plan. On departure day, the two Cabin Companions shifted from guiding the process to personally managing Mookie and Nou Nou through the airport and flight.

Meeting at Boston Logan

On travel day, two members of the Cabin Companions team met Heidi, her husband, Mookie, and Nou Nou at Boston Logan International Airport. From that point, the Cabin Companions took responsibility for guiding the cats through their airport experience while Heidi and her husband continued with their own business-class arrangements.

A Memorable Moment in the Delta Lounge

Before boarding, Mookie and Nou Nou settled with the Cabin Companions team in the Delta lounge. Amid the careful routines of an international travel day, the family received an unexpected and joyful detail: a lounge barista used an actual photograph of Mookie as inspiration for cat-themed foam art on a cappuccino.

It was a small moment, but a memorable one—a playful tribute to one of the travelers at the center of the day.

Two Cabin Companions Escort the Cats to Paris

Two Cabin Companions accompanied Mookie and Nou Nou throughout the international flight. The cats remained with the team in the eligible passenger cabin, while Heidi and her husband traveled elsewhere on the same aircraft.

The arrangement gave each cat a dedicated traveler and gave the family continuity: the people responsible for Mookie and Nou Nou at departure were the same people who accompanied them across the Atlantic and into the arrival process in Paris.

Arrival, Luggage Assistance, and Family Reunion

After the flight landed safely, the Cabin Companions team guided Mookie and Nou Nou through the arrival process and reunited with Heidi and her husband. The team then helped the couple gather their luggage and assisted the family as they connected with their onward transportation.

Everyone had technically traveled together on the same aircraft, but the reunion in Paris marked the moment the family could finally begin its new life in France together.

★★★★★

“I cannot recommend Monica and Gabe highly enough for their services. Not only did they ensure safe transport for my two cats from the US to Paris, they were professional, organized, and reassuring. It’s a stressful experience for everyone, and I know my cats benefitted from having competent carriers on the flight. My partner and I are so grateful for their expertise.”

Traveling on the Same Flight When Pets Are Not Permitted in Your Cabin

Some families can keep their preferred business- or first-class seats while one or more Cabin Companions accompany their pets in an eligible cabin on the same flight. For the right itinerary, this can allow everyone to travel on the same aircraft without suggesting that the pets are permitted in the premium cabin.

Feasibility must be confirmed for each journey. Airline rules, aircraft configuration, available pet reservations, cabin restrictions, carrier eligibility, the number of pets, and route or transit requirements all affect what is possible.
