Julie lived just outside Detroit and was preparing to move to France to be with her daughter. Her cat, Millie, had health and anxiety concerns, and Julie wanted a professional to remain personally responsible for her throughout the journey rather than asking Millie to navigate such a complicated move without dedicated support.
We arranged the flights and guided Julie through the USDA paperwork Millie would need for entry into France. Once every document and travel detail was ready, we collected Millie and began the journey from Detroit to Paris.
Beyond the Arrival Airport
Landing in Paris was only the first part of getting Millie home. After completing the arrival process, we traveled to Gare Montparnasse and boarded a train for the small city of Laval.
A few hours later, our prearranged driver was waiting at the station. We loaded Millie into the car and continued for another 45 minutes through the French countryside.
Home in a French Hamlet
The final destination was a gorgeous old stone hamlet, where Julie and her daughter were waiting with open arms. After an international flight, a Paris transfer, a train journey, and the final country drive, Millie was finally welcomed into her new French home.
For a cat with medical and anxiety concerns, completing every step with one responsible companion meant her care never disappeared between transportation modes. Millie’s journey ended not at an airport or train station, but exactly where it should have: safely reunited with her family at the door.
We’re grateful to Julie Phillips for sharing a Google review after Millie’s journey.
