Why We Created This Kit
So much of the advice and many of the products available for traveling with pets are designed with dogs in mind. But cats have their own unique needs, and flying with them presents a different set of challenges—from preparing a secure carrier and navigating airport security to keeping them comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings.
Through our own experiences traveling with cats, we’ve learned that it’s often the little things that make the biggest difference. A carrier zipper that needs extra security, an unexpected mess at the airport, or simply knowing what to pack and how to prepare can make an already complicated travel day feel overwhelming.

Want an extra layer of reassurance while traveling? Add a genuine Apple AirTag (2nd generation) to your VIP kit for just $29.
Your kit already includes an AirTag holder. Attach your AirTag securely to your cat’s properly fitted collar or harness using the included AirTag holder. Check that the holder lets your cat move comfortably and safely. If you attach it to a carrier or travel bag, Apple’s Find My network can help locate that item.
Adding an AirTag is completely optional. Your kit comes without one unless you choose to add it.

- Each AirTag is brand new, genuine, and unpaired, ready for you to set up with your own Apple Account.
- AirTags are sourced from genuine Apple four-packs and are shipped without individual Apple retail packaging.
- Requires an Apple Account and a compatible iPhone running iOS 26.2.1 or later, or iPad running iPadOS 26.2.1 or later, with Find My enabled.
- Setup and tracking are managed through Apple’s Find My app.

What else do I need to fly with my cat?
In addition to your VIP kit, you’ll need a pet carrier that meets your airline’s requirements and is appropriately sized for your cat. You’ll also need to arrange any required airline pet reservations, veterinary documentation, health certificates, and destination-specific travel paperwork.
Be sure to bring your cat’s regular food, medications, and any other personal necessities.
